A Key To Blessings: Joshua 1

When Moses died, Joshua was chosen to be come the leader of his people. In Joshua 1 , we get a a good example of how serious obedience was taken. The first example is observed hen God reminds Joshua that the Lord will give him the promised land. so long as Joshua and his people obeyed the laws. The second example is observed when n the Reubenites, Gadites and the Half Tribe of Manessah respond to Joshua's instruction with, "Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you command us we will go. Just as we fully obey Moses, so we will obey you...Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey your words shall be put to death."(Joshua 1:16-18) This is an excellent example of what it means to trust. This man had such a strong relationship with God that they knew they should trust his every command. You may think that there is no one in your life that has been chosen to take the place of Moses and Joshua in our lives, but God has been loving and faithful and has given his chosen people(i.e everyone who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior) a mediator so that we too can be blessed with his promise at every footfall. We just have to obey our leader.

This is really good, Troy. Obedience is taken lightly nowadays. God tells us not to curse and fall into lust, but we do regardless of what God tells us to. it stinks. gah. I love Jesus.

P.S. I'm in Jax if you want to hang out with Paxon peeps sometime.
